Lightroom 4 Tone Curve Presets 

Download develop presets for the Ton Curve in Lightroom 4. To import the presets to Lightroom, Control-click (Mac OS) or right-click (Windows) the area where you want the preset to appear and choose Import. Then, double-click the preset template file to import. Because of the new features in Lightroom 4, these will only work in version 4.

High Pass Overlay Action 

This is an Action to add a micro-contrast to your Photoshop image or an effect similar to the Clarity slider in Lightroom/Camera Raw. You can use it to add a bit of sharpness to the image or if is used with a high setting it will add a grunge type effect to your photo.

Download the action from the link below and add it to your Actions panel in Photoshop.

Once you are familiar with the Action and would not like to see the warning boxes, open up the High Pass Overlay action in the Actions panel and uncheck the two steps labeled “Stop”.

RGB Color Cheat Sheet

Use this sheet to help you adjust color with the Curves adjustment layer in the RGB color work space. The sheet has a color chart to show you what channel will add what color when adjusting. Graph shows Curves Display Option in Light (0-255) mode.

Download and print the chart and keep it next to your computer so you can refer to it when adjusting photos.

Dodging & Burning Layers Action

This is an Action to automatically create a “Dodging & Burning” layer for your photos. It creates to adjustment layers set to Screen and Multiply for lightening and darkening areas of your image and labels then Light and Dark. Just hit play on the "Portrait-Light/Dark Layers" action then use the Brush tool set at a lower opacity to paint in the masks of the two adjustment layers for your Dodging (Light) and Burning (Dark).

This can be used on any type of photo and is not restricted to portraits.
